Finding the missing peices one by one

A second Easter without opportunities for participating in a live Easter morning church service. I am sure that there was an event I could have gone to somewhere, but it seems sacrilegious to hold a service overlaid with the symbols and rituals of the cult of covid. I did have opportunities to spend some time in a sacred space with my daughter Iduna which she found quite interesting. I took the opportunity to have a private chat with the supreme being and I wanted some answers to some very simple questions. What exactly are we living through right now? What does it mean? Is there anything I can do about it? I am not sure I would even be asking for myself, I am prone to cynicism when the world does not seem to make any sense. However, with my daughter toddling round the space, chuckling to herself and pointing to various things, I was asking more for her than for myself. No one gets out of this world alive, but we do get out
eventually. I used to take some comfort in that fact but now my concern is the world Iduna and her children will inherit. So, I have some work to do before I can check out, both as a father and as someone who would still like to leave the world a little better than I found it.

So, did I get an answer? Well, not in the sense of hearing a booming voice from heaven. That simply isn’t how it works. The almighty expects us to do our own work, that is what we are here for after all. What happens is that the next piece of the jigsaw just turns up and the picture becomes a little bit more complete than it was. How complete your picture is so far depends upon how much effort you have made to collect some pieces already. You also need to look hard at the sections you do have so that you can see where the gaps are in your understanding. Only by seeing the spaces can you be ready to recognise the next piece when it turns up. Of course you could just look at jigsaws which are already complete, they are called pictures, and from completed pictures you only learn what the artist wants you to see. I believe God wants you to figure out the big questions for yourself. Finding your own answers is a lot harder than
just accepting what others tell you, and assembling your picture, as far as you can, is a lifelong process. St Paul nailed it in 1 Corinthians chapter 13 where he writes of now only knowing partly, but one day knowing fully.

What did I really want to know? I have numerous pieces which show how difficult things are for many people. Where was the piece which reveals the purpose of what we are experiencing now? What turned up was a video discussion between four very interesting people which I have linked below, it is long and needs some concentration Maybe it was a piece of my puzzle rather than yours. Either way it is there if you are interested.

So, lets get to the point. We are living at a turning point of ages. The Piscean age of the last two millennia is giving way to the age of Aquarius. A new age is dawning, so it would be rather surprising if this wasn’t a frightening, confusing, and even painful time. New age thinking and new age moments can be criticised for woolly minded idealism, but we are entering a new age, and recognition of this fact is the first stage of making sense of the world. Those of us who have recognised that we need to put together a whole new jigsaw are also very much aware of how many pieces we just have not found yet. I believe that we can have faith that the necessary pieces will be provided once we have created the space for them. Creating that space is both the problem we are facing now, and the key to making sense of the new age as it unfolds.

Those who see a complete picture based on Piscean thinking are able to believe that science has all the answers and money can buy the solutions to the problems which confront us. The age of Pisces begins with the insights we find in the New Testament, that the breath of God is the origin of life and we can know God’s love through what it means to be safe in your parent’s arms. The age of Pisces is ending with a widespread belief that breathing fresh air is too dangerous without a mask and hugging your grandchildren will kill you. We are well overdue a reset, but not the way World Economic Forum means it. The picture of the new age is still being pieced together, there are many gaps to be filled, it will take humility, time, patience, and faith to live with those gaps as the pieces are filled in, and that is just as it is meant to be.

Of course a jigsaw is just a metaphor. Stav has taught me that the threads of Orlog all connect , but it is a lifetimes work to learn to see the connections. Jigsaw or web, different metaphors for the same cosmic puzzle.
