Dear Easter Soul,
What is your Easter question for this year?
I bet you have never thought about imagining your Easter question — Not AN Easter question, but YOUR Easter question.
A question is not a religious celebration and remembrance. You don’t need to go
to church to celebrate Inner Easter. You need to form your Easter question.
A personal question opens you up to an intimate understanding, even a direct experience of a particular aspect of the Easter Mysteries.
A personal question is like a grail living in your soul open to receiving a pouring in of wisdom, freedom, and love.
Where does the question come from? It’s not intellectual. It’s inspired. Just make a choice and ask a question. Then
sleep on it. Write about it in your journal. Share it with a friend.
Don’t look for an answer as it is not an answer-seeking question. It is an imagination-seeking question. Simply wait for the Easter imagination to pour into your inner grail.
Ask one question about one aspect of one event in the Easter Mysteries. Asking more than one question will overwhelm your soul and dilute the potential of your Easter Imagination. More is not better when you are engaging with spiritual mysteries.
I am going to list a number of the events for you. Notice as you read the list a slight quickening in your soul. The quickening is the living vibration in your inner grail indicating the place of the question.
Maundy Thursday Events: The Last Supper with the Washing of the Feet and the Transubstantiation, the Agony in the Garden, the Betrayal and Arrest
Good Friday Events: The Condemning, The Mocking & Scourging,
The Bearing of the Cross, The Crucifixion, The Seven Statements, The Deposition, The Entombment.
Holy Saturday Events: The Descent into Hell, The Redemption of the Dead, The Mourning of the Disciples.
Easter Sunday Events: The Resurrection, The Recognition in the Garden, The Recognition on Road to Emmaus, The Appearance in the Upper Room. The Celebration.
Now form your question with courage and
confidence.
Inner questioning can be about the mystery that occurred 2000 years ago. Who prepared the Last Supper? What is the symbolic meaning of the garden and the road on Easter? How did Mary Magdalen
grieve?
Or it can be about how this event is found in your own biography. Of all the individuals in your life, whose feet would you lovingly wash? How have you been mocked for your wisdom and love? Are you afraid of being mocked? Who do I want to be forgiven for what they did not know was harming
me?
Here is the link to my substack page where you can find other Inner Easter essays and inspirations. You can also share your Easter question in the comments. I will be sharing mine. The comments nurture and
inspire others. Your question will not be judged or mocked. Each question is a seed planted in the garden of the Easter Mysteries.
