Hi All,
First the bad news. Zoey, our cat didn't eat for 3 days and was very lethargic. We couldn't get an appointment at our regular vet,
so we went to the pet emergency room, open 24/7. This was optimal since Zoey had not left our home for 12 years, because we couldn't get her into the pet carrier. It took us a day an a half but we finally got her into the carrier and transported her to the pet hospital.
Long
story/short, the cat has cancer and the bill was $3,500 for the testing, diagnosis, and hospital stay.
The most upsetting news was Zoey's diagnosis. The bill was, of course, unfortunate, but is an example of why you need an emergency fund.
My online work revolves around helping you develop smart saving and investing strategies so that you can handle financial emergencies, like the unfortunate vet bill we just received.
