The Adventure Continues

Hey !

I guess we should get the pressing news out of the way right up front, and I should let you know that the reprint Kickstarter for Gloomhaven is now live. Yaaaaaaay!

I managed to snag a screenshot of it right at the launch, but it probably doesn't look like that any more. I strongly urge you to go check it out. Even if you have no desire to pledge anything, I'd still love for you to participate in the mini-campaign event that will be transpiring throughout the next month.

I outlined the plan in my last letter, and it basically involves me creating a series of scenarios every three days and then the community voting on where the story goes next. I am so unbelievably excited to see where this crazy campaign goes, but it will only get there through community participation. No money required. Just play scenarios, have fun, and vote!

Not too much else going on around here outside of this monumental Kickstarter. I did just get back from RobbCon, which is a tiny convention in Virginia hosted by the guys from Blue Peg, Pink Peg, my absolute favorite podcast. It was a really nice calm before the storm, as I was able to play a stupid amount of games, not think about Gloomhaven, and get my name on numerous of Robb's box tops, much to his chagrin.

I was also proud to be involved in a small charity auction for a copy of Gloomhaven. Paul Grogan from Gaming Rules had an extra copy on top of the advanced copy I gave him to shoot the rules video with, and so he decided to auction it off for charity, which ended up sending a sizable amount to both MacMillan Cancer Support and Unicef, so that was nice.

And then there's just been an absolutely huge amount of media content generated about Gloomhaven. No Pun Included shot a really fantastic video, Rahdo recent did a live play through of it, Jon Gets Games will be releasing another great play through of it today. The list goes on, and it is very overwhelming and humbling.

So, anyway, there's a pretty cool Kickstarter happening right now, and you should go check it out. That's all I want to say, so I'll talk to you later!
