Hey Jets Fans,

I don’t know about you but I am totally pumped for the upcoming Jets season.  I have not felt such a buzz in the air from the fans in many, many years.  I think we are going to have a great year and these first few games will hopefully set a dominant tone for the upcoming season.

Since some of you have been asking already, NO… you haven’t missed any posts from me about this Sunday’s game, I’ve just been a lazy shit the last few weeks and have not gotten around to it. LOL!!!  I always seem to go into hibernation mode after the season ends and don’t come out of it until right before the season begins.

But now… beware!  The deluge is about to start.

First things first, it’s gonna be a packed house at Peabody’s this Sunday. Opening Day is always a big day but I have a strong feeling that year is going to be extra crowded.  Do yourself a favor and get there extra early to grab a seat.  Doors open at 11:30.  When sitting down please keep your eyes open for the RESERVED signs as we will be enforcing them on opening day.

Speaking of reserved seating, a lot of you have asked me to hold tables for you and I’d love to do that but it’s just not really possible. We are toying with the idea of paid reservations. Thinking of $2/seat or $5/small table and $10/big table. You’d pick your seat from those available and proceeds would be split 50/50 with the Marty Lyons Foundation and to support the clubs raffle prizes and such.  What do you guys think about that?

For all you beer drinkers out there, Peabody’s will still be doing the “All You Can Drink” beer special for $15.99 and we’ll have other menu item specials as well.

I’ve ordered a TON of Jets stuff to give away in our 50/50 raffle so the next few weeks will be fully stocked.  If anyone has anything Jets related they’d like to donate to the raffle, please bring it with you.

Also, I’m always looking for business sponsors and bloggers to write for the fan clubs website.  Just shoot me an email if you’d like to participate in some way.

We are also planning on doing a breakfast special for the London game and another Tailgate Party like we did for the 10th Anniversary.  Should be a fun season ahead and can’t wait to see my Jets Family.

Finally, as we will be marking the events of 9/11 tomorrow, I plan on asking for a moment of silence to honor those impacted by that tragic day in our nations history.  Please be respectful if you are entering the building at that time.

For now…. See you at P’s!

About Festa

My given name may be Steve but my friends have been calling me Festa for the last 30 years. While I really miss going to all the JETS home games and tailgating with a large group of friends, it’s really great being here in Tampa around other JETS fans while we root for our team. When I founded the fan club in October of 2004 I never imagined it would become as massive as it now has with over 600 members from around the world and sister Fan Club Chapters in 4 other Florida cities and growing.
