Dear ,
As we struggle to get through this very difficult moment, as a human community we are all learning to adapt to the new circumstances and hopefully developing a true understanding of how we are all in this together. We sink or swim together, as John has said so many times.
We hope you are well, keeping yourself and your family safe, and taking this opportunity to look inward at yourself and get a taste of the peace that is always available, always present as you.
So many of us have lost their jobs and are going through financial difficulties right now. Some of us have already lost a relative or a friend to this virus. We are all wondering what kind of world will be left once we get through this pandemic. No one has a clue. As the planet Earth and all its creatures recover and regenerate, let us pray that we humans will come out of this as a more generous
species, more mindful of the natural world that holds us and sustains us.
In this moment of world crisis, we are humbled and immensely grateful for the financial support that you continue to provide us and we want to assure you that we do not take your gifts lightly. To continue to give so generously in this time of uncertainty is a confirmation of the trust that you have placed in us and in our work. We intend to continue to honor your trust.
We continue the work of making Just One Look available to the world free of charge with the help of ours donors and volunteers. The Just One Look Forum remains
active and we welcome your contributions. If there are aspects of Just One Look that you do not understand or would welcome some clarification on, please read the conversations in the forum and you may find answers to your questions. You can use the Search Box to narrow down your search. And if you do not find an answer, please post your question so we can all consider it together and hopefully be helpful to you by sharing our personal experience.
We would also be very grateful for postings from those of us who have gone through the recovery and would like to share with us your experience. It takes time and effort to write a post but, hey, most of us have a lot more time on our hands in these days of self-isolation and social distancing. Let us connect more deeply and truthfully by sharing how looking at yourself has helped us and the difficulties we
have faced or still face in our investigation.
Another way to receive help is to send us a message using the contact form on our website. We will do our best to reply by email. Don't forget to include your complete email
address.
And you can also have a private session by phone or video. John is not offering private sessions at the moment. Private sessions are being held by Niklas Lindström, our trained instructor who is also a member of our Board of Directors. Besides having many years of experience with our work, Niklas has a degree in Psychology and he is currently working on a Master's degree. If you have questions and would
like to have a conversation with him, please use the form on our website to request a video or a phone call. Private sessions are free of charge and we welcome donations to the Just One Look Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports our work.
You may have noticed that we have not published any new videos, audios, or blog postings in a while. We are taking a break from producing new material and we are confident that what is currently available online gives you more than enough instruction, support, and food for thought.
That being said, we are working on a new German translation of the booklet The Just One Look Method, which will be available as a free PDF download on our website in the very near future.
We also have just re-released the complete videos of the Five-Day Retreats we held here in Ojai in 2012 and 2011 on our YouTube channel. We have often been asked about how we developed the Just One
Look Method and, even though Just One Look is not a spiritual teaching, it is important to acknowledge that we stand on the shoulders of giants: Ramana Maharshi, Siddhārtha Gautama, and Jesus of Nazareth, whose teachings continue to inspire us and nourish us.
Please be well, stay safe, and be kind to your neighbor who may need some help. Let us move forward in a spirit of community and solidarity, trusting that we will get through this challenge together and we will come out stronger, wiser, more generous, and more aware of our undeniable connectedness as one human organism. We are all in this together.
With love and hope for the future,
Carla & John
