Dear ,
We are entering the ninth week of quarantine here in our neck of the woods and many of us are becoming restless, wishing we could all go back to normal already! We hope you are taking good care of yourself and your
family, being mindful of your local community, and using this time to look at yourself every now and then. Whether you are sheltering in place or going out to work an essential job, you can always take a brief look at yourself.
We just finished work on an update of our ebook Lookers Tell their Stories, which now has 329 pages with 160 reports from people all over the world who have looked at themselves and have written to us between 2011 and 2020 to tell us how the looking changed their lives.
This ebook is helpful to those have just learned about the possibility of being free of the fear of life by performing a simple act of looking at yourself and want to learn more about the process. It also provides confirmation and encouragement to those who are having a difficult time during the recovery period.
One of the most recent reports included in the ebook came in just this month. It was sent to us by a young man in Sweden who started looking at himself ten years ago and wanted to share with us what happened to him over the years:
Still sometimes, maybe when I wake up from sleep, or later in the day, I kind of catch myself. Or I’m somehow reminded and I willfully and happily look. Many times the look itself gives just about no specific experience. Sometimes the moment of the look is like a microscopic shot of peace in my mind. If I would name the most common feeling arising in
such a moment I think I would say: kindness... There is a satisfying, saturating sense of just being here. The experience quickly disappears and leaves room for whatever task was there in the first place, leaving behind no conflict with anything.
And if you feel moved by it, please consider making a donation to help us continue bringing this possibility to more people free of charge. Please tap/click here or use
