Hi ,
Yet another short travel update with some good news. This one is important! The UK has now taken off the remaining countries on their Red List, why Brits can visit Peru without problems now.
Additionally, from Monday Nov 2 there is no requirement of PCR or other COVID tests when entering Peru if you have had your two doses of vaccine.
I realize this news does not make much difference for some birders.
Australians and New Zealanders can't leave their countries yet, and anyone coming from South Africa would have to do a 14 day quarantine after entering Peru - or go via a third country for 14 days. It makes absolutely no sense why one can't enter from South Africa, but hopefully this is dropped by mid-November when new regulations are being published.
Regardless, the world is finally opening up - little by little.
The
Aardvark twitch program for
South Africa Jan 18-22 is almost ready. I have made preliminary bookings of the lodges.
I think the program should be up on
7 Wonders Birding website on Tuesday at the latest.
Saludos
Gunnar
