Sorry, for sending you a newsletter again. This will be short. Just wanted to check if you go the previous one OK?
If you don't want to receive my newsletters, it is very easy to unsubscribe at the bottom of this email.
Among many things that the newsletter dealt with was how fortunate we are in Peru right now with very few new cases of COVID, and that the US has lowered the status of Peru to Level 2 (Moderate Risk).
Here is
an online version of the newsletter in case you didn't see it. It has a lot of interesting information.
Additionally, here is
an interesting blogpost in English confirming that the older age groups in Peru are well protected with the vaccination program covering up to 80% of the people in these groups.
The main reason why I am writing you again is because I would like to ask for a favor. There is only one person left of the 12 Swedes that were going to bird in Chile with me in November. The one guy still wants to do a birding trip so it would be great if you could either just spread the word about the two options he is considering to get some more punters - or perhaps if you can on short notice and COVID allowing - join us. I will be guiding!
First, and the preferred, option is a combo with
SE Brazil and Pantanal. It is an excellent time of year to visit Brazil, and COVID numbers are very low right now. (See the graph in my previous email).
Here is
trip report from 2015 with a Swedish group doing a similar trip with me.
The other option is doing a
Central Peru trip, similar to the one we did last year with Jules Eden right in between the two waves. Here is
Jules´s trip report. It is a very entertaining read.
The dates we consider for the trip is
Nov 24-Dec 12 with one day more or less at each end.
That's it. I did promise this would be short.
Thanks for subscribing to my newsletter, it means a lot to me. Don't hesitate to respond. I read all mails.
