I'm not talented
|
Hey ,
ever said this to yourself...
"I don't have the "talent" to play this song."
"Some people are "talented" and others aren't."
Understand this...
Talent doesn't mean anything without a drive to practice.
Sure you can have a natural gift and pick things up faster, but that doesn't mean anything if you're not enjoying it.
It's your passion and enjoyment that will make you practice. Not your talent.
Any successful musician knows that passion comes first.
You might get called talented later on, but it's the passion that made you practice for hours on end that eventually made you successful.
Passion will get you a lot further than talent.
I'm not talented. I just love teaching you and playing music. That's how I got this far.
If you've ever uttered the words "I'm not talented enough or I wish I had a natural gift" then remember that it's your enjoyment of guitar that's most important.
That's what makes you practice and that's what makes you a better player.
Keep on playing,
Drue James
