I missed you.
|
Hey ,
I missed you last Saturday.
Sending you regular emails takes dedication and persistence. (just like learning guitar)
And last week life got in the way.
Sounds stupid looking back but the culprit was building flat pack furniture. In fact worse than that it involves my complete inability to leave a job half finished!
I left a generous 4 hours to build these bunk beds for my boys.
But as anyone who's ever build flat pack knows it often takes longer than expected.
Before I knew it my whole Friday was gone and with it my energy and inclination to turn on my PC and write to you.
I did beat myself up about it! Cursed the furniture and the company that made it.
But I can't stand leaving a job like this half finished. Is it just me?
Guess I'm just stubborn. When I put my mind to something I'll get it done regardless.
Life is full or priorities. And in this case I knew I wouldn't be content until I figured this flat pack puzzle out.
Guitar will often move up and down in our priority list.
But what I find important is not to beat yourself up if there's days/weeks even a month when you can't play.
I find that doesn't help me resume practice or writing emails, in this case.
Keep finding the time for guitar and it will reward you.
It's a priority worth raising as it brings us all joy and contentment.
Keep on playing,
Drue James
