4 steps |
Hey , there's 4 steps to enjoying and making progress when learning guitar online: 1) Fun, Structured Step By Step Lessons My 3 word philosophy for teaching guitar
is enjoy, progress and achieve. It's that simple. if you're enjoying each practice then you'll want to play more. By playing more guitar you will improve and make progress. Following structured courses with "little wins" and encouraging easy songs is a BIG STEP in the right direction to achieving this. 2) Setting An Intention With Every
Practice Something small... it doesn't matter how small. Just one goal for your practice. This will fuel your motivation. Over time you'll set these practice goals automatically. Just get into the habit now. 3) Learning In a Supportive
Community Learning with others is a great way to remain inspired on your own guitar path. Seeing how other people learn guitar, both the songs they choose and the mistakes they've already made is an invaluable source of advice and encouragement. 4) Using Aligned Instruction, Preferably From One
Source. I love YouTube. Without it, you probably wouldn't know me. However, the myriad of teachers and methods are enough to make your head spin. This can lead to getting overwhelmed, always chasing that shiny new song or technique and never fully committing to one approach. YouTube is fine for the odd song lesson, but it's definitely not ideal for an aligned structured approach to learning guitar. Without These 4 Steps... If you're missing one of the 4 steps above then you might find your practice is stop start. You'll have fits of practice for a
week or two and then it will dry up for a while. You might find it challenging to remain consistent. Sure, life gets in the way of practice sometimes, but let's face it, if you can feel the value and enjoyment guitar is adding to your life then you will find the time. I developed LGIL Premium to cement these 4 steps into your guitar practice.
