My double life |
Hey , I need to come clean about a secret double life I've been leading. I've been meaning to tell you for a while, but it's never felt like the right time. It all started when I realised there were people close to me that all did the same profession. I was curious about their job and I was always asking
questions. My curiosity peaked in November last year when I finally applied for a part time course in therapeutic counselling. I had no intentions other than to learn a new skill that interested me. But what I found was astonishing. By taking this course it invigorated my guitar teaching. It's been a wonderful personal journey that has enriched my
life. There's many reasons for this but a big one is learning a new skill in my 40s. It has empowered me! I'm sure you feel the same way about learning guitar. It's taken me out of my comfort zone. As a result it's helped me take braver steps in my everyday life. While I'm not changing careers I wanted to share with you how learning a new skill has improved my
life. Rather than keep on playing, I should write "Never stop learning." The power to continually surprise ourselves is a unique gift. I will continue to use it, so I never lose it! Have a great weekend and keep on playing, |
