Hey , when you started guitar what support did you have? I'm guessing like any new endeavours support wasn't important because you had other things... Excitement, possibilities and dreams. All essentials in the beginning. But how quickly do these things fade without
support? The romantic idea of being entirely self taught and not needing anyone's help is common for many musicians. And before you stop reading and think this is a sales pitch for my services let me tell you it's much more than that. This hard life lesson has come from experience. I've discovered over the years of learning guitar that it takes more strength to ask for help than
it does to deny it. Your support network isn't just about being taught by someone. It extends to friends and family who support your playing. In fact anyone in your circles who takes an interest. Treasure them. While you won't always feel ready to share your playing it's great to talk guitar with them. Without a support
network, your playing goals and dreams will be standing on a weaker foundation. And if you have no one around who supports your playing, then listen to your favourite music. Those musicians went through the same learning journey as you are right now. Even Clapton found barre chords challenging at one point in time.
Have a great weekend and keep on playing,
