An angry email |
Hey , this email is a massive vent, so please buckle up and hold on... I believe we have to choose our battles in life. Why? Because taking on a fight can knock the energy and life out of us. And I believe we only have so much of that before we get burnt
out or become bitter and cynical. For these reasons I only fight for something I truly believe in. Where there's evidence as well as my concerns and gut feeling. There are some people who play the wrong role in society. It's not their fault and it's all part of a bigger learning curve for us and them. But when those people are in power or heads of communities
they are there to set an example and look after others. It's not a role that should be taken without care and diligence to others. I believe a leadership role like this holds incredible responsibility and requires the upmost maturity and wisdom. If this role is abused or run with a personal agenda not in keeping with the communities ethos it can have catastrophic consequences. For me
someone like this is causing damage and therefor this is a battle worth fighting for! Not to have my point proven right. There is no satisfaction for me in that. It's because I want my community to thrive. I know justice can fail. But I also understand that doing means I'm not only letting myself down but my community as well. There are times perhaps to ignore or run from a
bully. The fight is not worth it. But there are other times when standing up to them is going to bring about a more positive outcome for all involved. Keep on playing,
