Hello ,

today we're talking about learning guitar on YouTube.

A subject close to my heart. So what I'm about to say is going to hurt.

Learning Guitar On YouTube Isn't Effective!

I'm happy that you've found my lessons but please stop sabotaging your musical potential and listen.

I'm not saying you can't learn guitar on YouTube.

There are some fantastic teachers out there.

But here's the thing...

For every 1 decent lesson on YouTube there's at least 9 bad ones.

Endlessly searching for good lessons is a waste of your valuable practice time.

Also, learning from loads of different teachers isn't advisable.

All teachers have different methods, and perhaps more importantly teach at different speeds. This can make learning guitar confusing.

But perhaps the biggest problem with learning on YouTube is that it's easy to get overwhelmed.

This often happens because YouTube lessons aren't structured.

It's up to you as the student to decide what to learn next. And without professional guidance it's easy to lose your way.

This is the No.1 reason why online courses are so popular.

Step by step instruction with engaging lessons makes learning anything easier.

And the best courses teach you the right things at the right time.

They won't overwhelm you and in many cases they're tested on real students.

So instead of using random and unorganised YouTube lessons use structured and supported guitar courses.

More tips coming tomorrow. (It's all about guitar video games)
