Hey
,
there's a lot of inexperienced and shoddy guitar teachers out there.
If you're taking guitar lessons then make sure it's from a committed tutor.
I don't want to give up because you're not getting the right guidance.
Here's a checklist for
finding a great one to one tutor:
A great teacher will...
(+) Inspire through enthusiasm, not intimidation.
(+) Listen more than they talk.
(+) Demonstrate songs when required, rather than endlessly playing in your lessons.
(+) Make the lessons about your favourite music, not theirs.
(+) Set clear actionable homework objectives.
If you're not getting this level service with your one to one lessons then change teacher.
You may have been with this teacher for some time.
It can
be hard to move on, but remember this isn't about them.
It's not personal. It's your guitar progress. Your time. Your money.
That stuff matters.
Take action and keep on learning.
Reply to this email if you want to talk about one to one
lessons.
Keep on playing,
