Hello ,
do you ever watch other guitarist and think “there's no way I can play that?”
We all do right?
And if it's Hendrix or Sungha Jung we're probably right.
But every now and then
there's songs that look difficult but are surprisingly easy.
I'm not saying the 2 lessons below are for complete beginners.
If you've been playing longer than 18 months these songs will be within your reach
They'll take a certain amount of elbow grease (practice time) to get right, but it's worth
it.
This song looks monstrously challenging, but when you realise it's just 2 picking patterns and 6 chord shapes played up and down the neck it does gets easier.
TOP TIP = Start slow and aim for an accurate tone.
This song sounds challenging because of it's fast speed. However, it's just one picking pattern. After a couple of practice sessions you will learn it off by
heart. Once you've got the picking pattern there's only 5 chords to learn.
TOP TIP = When you're learning the picking pattern look down at your picking hand.
Have you learnt a song that you thought was difficult but you picked it up quickly?
