What Makes A Guitar Teacher Cry?
|
Hey ,
I've replied to 127 emails, all of which have warmed my heart.
I've never shared anything as personal as I did in my last email and I was so nervous to press send, but I'm glad I did.
After sharing how my life has changed I got such support and kind words from you all, so thank you.
This particular reply really made me emotional:
"In August of 2017, I hit a really low point. I was distraught with who I was. I felt like all my friends and family would be better off without me. I was just lost.
Then, after a really rough start to the school year, my parents bought me what is now my most prized possession; a guitar.
At the beginning, I was frustrated at how hard it was to get my hands to make chord shapes, and how quickly my fingers would begin to hurt. I felt my interest and patience fading quickly. Then I found your YouTube channel.
Your passion for guitar, and your wonderfully helpful videos inspired me to keep going. With this new passion, I also found release from so many of the things that had burdened me over the course of the previous year.
So, thank you for sharing your passion, your talent and for teaching me how to love guitar. I know there is no way for you to realize this, but you have made a huge impact on my life in the past two years." - Mitch
This really choked me Mitch. Thank you.
My next email is back to the lessons.
I'll be sharing how you can help choose my next video lesson.
Speak to you then.
