The struggle is real
|
Hey ,
if you don't have this one thing with your guitar practice then I want you to unsubscribe from my emails.
Sounds harsh, but I only want to teach this type of person.
That one thing is persistence.
The will to not throw in the towel when practice gets tough.
The determination to keep playing and putting in the time.
Nothing worth achieving in life is easy.
Be it a college degree, building a business or raising a family. They all take persistence. Dedication and love.
And learning guitar is no different.
You can light a fire under your persistence and keep it burning strong by enjoying every practice. (A motto for all lessons and courses that I create)
TOP TIP: If you finish each practice by playing something you know. Something that sounds like a song. Just anything that you enjoy. That will make you want to play again the next day and the day after.
Stoke your persistence by fuelling your enjoyment.
And when things get tough with your practice (which they will) then it's ok to play songs that you know.
Because everyday playing guitar is still a day of progress. Even if it doesn't feel like it.
Maintain the balance between playing fun songs you know and practising challenging songs you don't.
That's how to keep your persistence alive and fighting.
