Your whole life.

Hey ,
what makes a lifetime guitarist?
Someone who isn't going to give up?
There's an easy answer.
It's when you don't have a choice. Let me explain...
Even if you've only been playing a month there's a reason you're learning guitar.
I've heard other teachers say their students have different reasons for wanting to learn but I think there's a fundamental reason why we all learn.
It's why we keep on playing. Why we toil away with practice.
"I was only going to play for 20 minutes, but I've been here for an hour"
Sound familiar?
When a guitar is in our hands time evaporates.
It's called a timeless state.
Where it's not about what we're doing, but just the pleasure of doing it.
The peace. The grounding of playing music.
It's when playing guitar is a calling. Something that we can't help doing.
It's who we are.
And it doesn't matter if you've been playing for a month or 10 years. If you were born to enjoy playing music then it's something that will always be a part of your life.
You just might not have realised it yet. But you will...
How do you know if you're a lifetime player?
Simple.
If playing guitar brings you peace, happiness, satisfaction, and any other positive feeling then why would you ever give up.
Keep on playing,
Drue James
