Hey ,
Happy October and all that jazz! :)
Here in London, the sun is still warming our days but the mornings are crisp and the evenings are arriving earlier. The trees are losing
their leaves, I've been collecting conkers on my daily walks and on Friday an acorn fell on my head. Autumn is easing in.
I hope your transition from one season to another has been what you've needed it to be so far.
Like Mother Nature, it feels like I'm also moving through a seasonal change in my life. Part of that change includes this newsletter and how I'll connect with you going forward.
If you've been engaging with me for a while, you'll know about my love-hate relationship with social media. Like many things in life, I think it has pros and cons but more recently for me, the cons have been massively outweighing the pros. So a few weeks ago, I logged out of my Instagram account and deleted the app from my phone.
This wasn't a rash decision. I took time to research and consider how I could continue to share about journaling without relying heavily on Instagram and decided to move to Substack. Going forward, the intention is to continue sharing journaling prompts and resources but via Substack and this newsletter.
To be honest, very little will change for you other than that you'll probably
hear from me more regularly, the newsletter will arrive in your inbox from 'Notes on Journaling' and the layout/format will look a little different.
Although you'll continue to receive the newsletter in your inbox, the cool thing about Substack
is that it's kind of a mix between a newsletter and a blog so you'll be able to leave comments and there's even an app (on iOS, android is in development).
I'm hoping this is going to be a positive transition that creates a more authentic and organic way to connect and
share.
