Hi
How are you?
This is the first email I'm sending since life as many of us knew it was flipped turned upside down last year March.
Some people sent emails more frequently (some way too often), others like me, didn't get in touch at all.
I don't know how the pandemic, and everything that came with it, has impacted you, but many days I just about had enough motivation, hope and energy to support myself and loved ones.
Since March 2020, I moved home twice, had covid at least once (Christmas was cancelled), changed my job and lost 2 grandparents. And there was everything else that was happening in society and around the world.
I've always said that if I'm lucky enough to be welcomed into your inbox, I'll always aim to share uplifting and motivating tips, news and updates. More often than not during the pandemic, I did not have the capacity to do this.
I did sit down and begin to write an email to you on a few occasions but never got past the first few sentences.
But now, as England re-opens and we return to some form of normality, I finally feel able to get in touch.
I still feel out of sorts and it takes a lot more effort to focus and feel motivated than it did 18 months ago, but I definitely feel in a much better place most days.
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know that after a social media break for approximately 3 months, I'm back regularly sharing journaling prompts and tips along with self-care bits and bobs.
I've also recently begun hosting a free online journaling workshop called Friday Night Journaling Jam. The first was in June and I have another one coming up on Friday 6th August.
If you're interested, you can find out more and register your place here.
I really do hope this email finds you well. If however, there are still days when you're feeling 'off' and can't quite put your finger on why, please know you're not alone.
Many of us are still grieving, adapting, questioning, processing and healing everything we've been through whilst continuing to navigate where we currently find ourselves.
Going forward, I'm hoping to get in touch with you at least monthly with journaling and self-care goodness.
In the meantime, I'm sending virtual hugs and hope to see you in person (virtually) at the Friday Night Journaling Jam workshop next week.
