A sabbatical (from the Hebrew: שַׁבָּת Šabat (i.e., Sabbath); in Latin sabbaticus; Greek: sabbatikos σαββατικός) is a rest or break from work; "an extended period of time intentionally spent on something that's not your routine job".
Have you ever taken a sabbatical? In the middle of a huge "to do" list? As a self-employed person? With no guaranteed income whatsoever? And no funding of any kind? At a time when life and business is at an all-time critical point?
Me neither! Never have. Until now. Starting tomorrow. Until March 18th.
Will I still be working? Yes! I am going to be focusing on this portion of the sabbatical - "an extended period of time intentionally spent on something that's not your routine job". And I must admit that I am not sure how things will work out? I'm not sure I have enough faith or trust. I don't know how revenue will be generated. I don't know what shape we'll be in when it is over. I don't know how this is going to work or how we'll
survive.
And guess what ... I don't need to know any of those answers! What I do know is that I am supposed to take a break from my routine work life to attempt to focus on some other things in hopes of finishing strong... in
life and business! Will it all work out the way I want it to work out? I have no clue... isn't that part of the adventure?
