Welcome to the MDT Newsletter!

Hi there, welcome to this month's newsletter. Let's jump right in.

In this month's Newsletter we'll be covering:

- 2022 Disney Armed Forces Salute Timeline
- Do I Need to Activate My Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets to Make Theme Park Reservations?
- Can I Upgrade My Disney Armed Forces Salute Ticket?
- Disneyland Resort Reopening Details
- Planning Your Disney World Vacation in 2021

As a reminder I've been back to Walt Disney World 3 times since they re-opened this past summer. You can read about my experiences here:

Our Third Trip Back to Walt Disney World (Jan 2021)

Our Second Trip Back to Walt Disney World (Nov 2020)

Our Return to Walt Disney World (Aug/Sept 2020)

Because Walt Disney World is currently using the Theme Park Reservation System to allow entry into their parks and the automatic time frame to allow reservations in the online system is 12 months prior, we've been getting a lot of questions about when will the 2022 Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets be available and how can the military community make 2022 Theme Park reservations if a 2022 Disney Armed Forces Salute has not been announced or offered yet.

When I get a few of generally the same question in a short period of time, I know it's time to post on that topic. So the following two posts fulfill that need.

2022 Disney Armed Forces Salute Timeline

In this post I discuss the Salutes, their history, and the effect of an announcement date on tickets and room reservations.

Do I Need to Activate My Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets to Make Theme Park Reservations?

This one is just a short answer post that is part of our FAQ Friday Series.

You can see the post here: Do I Need to Activate My Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets to Make Theme Park Reservations?

Can I Upgrade My Disney Armed Forces Salute Ticket?

Others are wondering the fate of their 2020 Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets which expire on 26 Sept 2021. Some folks just can't go by that date.

I've updated this original FAQ Friday Post to add in info about upgrading your 2020 Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets to the 2021 versions, which gains you roughly 3 more months to use them.

Disneyland is Finally Scheduled to Reopen

Last month we posted that Disneyland was Finally Scheduled to Reopen, since then we offered a little more detail, plus my thoughts on 2021 Disney Armed Forces Salute Tickets for Disneyland, which is the primary thing on our community's mind.
