Hi, !
Every day is Earth Day here at Two Green Thumbs! I mean, c'mon, she's my business partner after all!
Lol!
I hope this finds you enjoying the spring and looking forward to the weekend! I've been buried, getting ready for National Miniature Garden Month next month. If anyone is doing anything for the occasion, let me know how I can help - and I can send some "swag" too.
Today's Tip
As the garden starts to wake-up for spring the weeds will too, but now is your chance to "get 'em while they are young." Heh, heh, heh...
The older weeds can really dig-in with their roots and be SO hard to pull in a few weeks-time - it's
unbelievable how they can grip the soil. And for us miniature gardeners, a "big" weed can sometimes wreak havoc on our little scenes when we pull it up, along with its big roots. Ugh.
So. while the plants are just starting to grow and the roots haven't had a chance to take-hold, get out and pull those lil' pesky plants! It'll much, much
easier to do, and then you can get on with the fun, planting stuff!
About the Photo Above:
Some of you might remember that photo. During the shutdown, this was the garden that I took through the year and decorated it for each month.
