Hi!

It is a few days to Christmas and I would like to again, take
this opportunity to thank you for signing up for this list. The
past year has been a good one for me personally (very busy, but
good) and I am grateful for the chance to share my thoughts with
you every now and then. I do hope that you have picked up something
useful from the e-mails that I have sent or from the things written
in my book blog.

I pray that you will all have a blessed Christmas. May 2010 be
overflowing with grace for all. Let us include in our prayers our
countrymen in Bicol (am still hoping that Mayon volcano will not
erupt); those who were killed in the massacre in Mindanao, as well
as their families; families who are still suffering from the
effects of Typhoons Ondoy and Pepeng to this very day; and for
safe, honest and peaceful elections in May 2010.

At times, things may look bleak, bad, and uncertain. It may be
difficult (and it may be easier said than done) but it is during
such times that we may want to recall the very first Christmas.
Things were quite bleak, bad, and uncertain for Mary and Joseph too
but that didn't stop the light and love of God from shining
through. Mary and Joseph experienced rejection (there was no room
at the inn remember?). Discomfort. But it was under such
circumstances that our Savior came.

This Christmas, I wish you the gift of revitalized faith.
Bishop Tagle defines faith as the "submission of the intellect and
the will to the God Who reveals." He continues to say that with
faith, we know, that because it is God speaking, even if the words
are senseless, we believe...It is when we are weak and frail, when
we recognize our incapacities and limits that we become open to the
miracles that God will produce.

If you have a bit more of time, I wish to invite you to read my
Christmas message on my other website at

Let us remember the true meaning of Christmas. Please wait for
the videos to load and watch them. The Advent Conspiracy videos
remind us to Worship Fully. Spend Less. Give More. Love All.
Christmas is not about shopping and food. It is about the birth of
Jesus who shows all of us the true way.

A blessed Christmas everybody. May the peace, joy, and love of
that very first Christmas reign in your homes and lives every
single day.
