As I sit here being steeped in the essence of gratitude, I am reminded of a luscious quote written by American author Melody Beattie. She transcribes the most beautiful description of
gratitude. She writes "Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns into what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for
today, and creates vision for tomorrow".
As human beings we have an enormous capacity to stand in the bountiful arms of gratitude. Each of us has our own power to express gratitude for what we have, appreciation for who we are, the gifts we bring into the world, the great potential we possess, and the spirit to be in the energy of joy.
Every morning upon rising from a restful slumber, I like to taste the sweetness of gratitude. I prepare a simple blend comprised of several drops each of being thankful for what I have, appreciation for who I am, rejoicing others, generosity, compassion, self-love, and joy. As I savor the delicate flavor of this daily ritual, I open my heart to the fullness of my life.
