Celebrate the Holiday Season with us at Turnbull Studios!

We wish all of our wonderful clients a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! Christine and Steve Turnbull have been busy elves, bursting with creativity. In our December newsletter, we feature several of their newly completed and in process pieces. We would like to welcome several new artists to our gallery with beautiful unique pieces of ceramic and mixed media. Brad Huck, the talented multimedia artist, is our “Featured Artist” through January.

Completed & Installed!

We welcome you to visit Steve's newest art istallation 'Ke Mele O Ka Moana' (Ocean Orchestra) at the Wailea Marriot on Maui. After a year of work, the beautiful Ohai root wood sculpture is complete and has now been installed at the Wailea Marriot. The grain of ohai root wood swirls and twines in on itself, evoking the sense of dancing water.

'Rising Angel' to be Bronzed!

Christine's clay sculpture 'Rising Angel' has been fired and is on its way to being cast in bronze. The intricately detailed piece appears to defy gravity itself. We all look forward to seeing the sculpture after its bronze rebirth.

Horse Hair & Raku Glazed Ceramic

Turnbull Fine Art is pleased to showcase Al Schwartz’s finely created ceramic vessels. The glaze and color of these pots were hand developed by Al. The orange color comes from the deep red volcanic clay from the island of Maui. Together with his specialized Raku firing smoke technique and horse hair additions, each piece creates it’s own galaxy to gaze upon. Several sizes are available at the gallery.

Brad Huck is an internationally collected mixed media artist known for his reflective imagery on wood, canvas, and paper. His contemporary style reflects architectural lines and modern expression. The gallery is currently showcasing his limited edition prints, such as 'Cherry Blosson' shown above. A set of three of his limited edition prints are available through us for $800.
