New Bronze Sculpture 'Rising Angel'
The powerful bronze above features a soul that is leaving the mortal world behind and is receiving her wings. In our previous newsletter we shared the clay beginnings of this piece, Rising Angel, which has now been fired and cast in bronze. The sculpture's effect of levitation belies the heaviness of the bronze material.

New Sculpture 'Lets Dance'
by Steve Turnbull
Steve enhances the beautiful swirl and flow of driftwood in his latest sculpture 'Let's Dance'. The wood grain swirls akin to a whirling dervish. When looking at the piece from different perspectives it shifts and changes, evoking an eternal dance. At 4 feet tall it would be an extraordinary feature piece.

We Welcome New Artist Aaron Loyd
Fiberglass Fish Sculpture 'UL'
Aaron Loyd is a recent Maui transplant from California where he worked with fiberglass and foam, starting in the 1960s, becoming a surfboard shaper and surf photographer with Surfing and Surfer Magazine. His well-known and highly collected fish sculptures give new life to broken and damaged surfboards, as they are created from their recycled fiberglass and foam. These fantastical
creations have also been featured on the cover of CRE8 art magazine, a link to which can be followed below.

Taking Underwater Photography to a
Deeper Level
Cassie Pali - Hula Dancer Series
Always having a strong connection to the ocean, Cassie began her underwater journey by photographing mermaids around the world and has since applied her amazing talent to honoring the traditional Hawaiian culture and aina of Hawaii in her latest series. With her powerful photography she uses the transformative element of water to blur the line between reality and myth. Each piece has its own
power, which is reflective of the 'mana' or energy of the dance.
