Aloha from Maui! We hope you and yours are staying safe and sound. We do look forward to your visit in the coming future. It is with that thought in mind that keeps us sane.
We wanted to take you on a drive with us along the back road that leads to our studio and share some great shots and good news. Enjoying family time has been wonderful. Lots of creating in the kitchen and studio is something we will not forget. With Mother's Day coming up, it makes this time all the more special. When did your teenagers actually spend this kind of time with you?
As you know, fishing is one of our islanders favorite past times, and we feel blessed to be able to have these special places to go. Here are some fun shots of our adventures. Included are "before" and "after" images of the Kahakuloa church. We were so happy to see that during this time, the renovation is almost complete. This place has been a long standing icon for the village and makes us reflect upon the elders that have been here before us. Sadly, we lost one of our talented
and beloved wood workers on the island this year, John Wittenburge. He created a beautiful podium that will remain inside to commemorate his contribution he made years ago. He is deeply missed in our small community.
The beaches were a wonderful and rocky distraction from the daily "quarantine vibe". Please stay safe and healthy and we look forward to seeing you once the island opens up again.
