Author Rod Stryker wrote that each person has four overarching desires in this life:

1. A life of purpose

2. Happiness

3. Prosperity

4. Freedom

Without freedom, the other three are much more difficult.
 
Freedom makes purpose and prosperity possible, and it greatly enhances each person's pursuit of happiness.
