Hello ,
"Between stimulus and response there is a space. In that space is our power to
choose our response. In our response lies our growth and our freedom."
Viktor E. Frankl
Dr. Frankl wasn't merely attempting to wax eloquent. He knew what
he was talking about. Frankl was in a concentration camp in Germany, and he understood that often times we human being are put in positions where we don't have choices about the direction our lives take.
Ask anyone who has a terminal disease, and they will probably share that they wouldn't choose to have such a malady if given the choice.
Frankl believed that how we respond to these things that happen to us makes a difference in our lives, and in the lives of those that we touch.
The scriptures actually elude to this idea when they say that "all things work together for good, for them that love God and are called according to His
purpose."
This verse doesn't say that all things are good. But if we are sold out to God, we can know that all things work together for our good. It's a simple concept to understand, but only the power of God can help us live it!
Have a great day and God bless!
