Hello ,
"Frozen to life" would probably best describe the sentiments of some living Cryonic Institute members concerning a process that is being carried out with dozens of people at a facility in Michigan. Perusing the material on the Institute's web site is like reading a page of a futuristic science fiction novel...only it's really happening!
Inside the facility are the bodies of men and women suspended in a cryonic solution
that keeps their entire bodies frozen and un-decayed until science becomes more medically progressive in the future. It is hoped that the science community will then have the ability to "re-animate" the bodies and cure the diseases that took their lives in the first place. Most skeptics agree that it's a long-shot, but for those willing to wager on a future life of health and happiness, the Institute charges $28,000 to $35,000 for its preservation services.
Throughout the centuries people have searched desperately for ways to conquer death and live in an immortal state, but the Bible is clear that only God can bring that about. Eternal life will only be a reality for those that have committed themselves to a vibrant relationship with their Creator. Consider the following Bible verse:
"For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the
archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord "
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
Yes, immortality will come, but only for those who have enjoyed membership in the family of heaven. The best news is that the price for our membership has already been paid for. Jesus Christ purchased the right to bring us into eternity, not through cryonic suspensions, or quarterly payment plans for
speculative scientific procedures, but through the blood that was willingly spilled on Calvary.
Have a great day and God bless!
