In Style Masters, we are digging into our color palettes and identifying our BEST colors. BEST is an acronym. Can you guess what it is?
S is for signature colors. Your signature color can be a color that you want to be identified in, your favorite color, a color you love to wear, or a color you have a lot of. I have 2 colors. I love popping red into many of my outfits. In the spring/summer, you will often see me in coral, pink and peach. What's your signature color? How do you wear it?
There are more tips that we share in Style Masters, but I thought you'd find this helpful! Use coupon code MothersDay2024 when you join to get your first 2 months FREE.
PLUS, Gail jumped into the private Facebook group and did a blush makeup tutorial on how to
identify the right blush color for your skin tone and how to apply it. It's awesome. You can watch the preview of it here.
Gail Scott popped into our private Facebook group to show our Style Masters members how to choose their best blush color PLUS she demonstrates how to apply your blush! This was a delightful surprise to all of us!
Our color prompt for the week was wearing our blushing
colors... so this tutorial was the perfect complement.
Jen answers a question from her color analysis quiz.
"Hi Jen, I was typed differently by professionals online and I understand it might be because of the photos but I am very confused. I get mostly neutral, both leaning cool or warm. When I try to DYI I think I am warm
but I am not sure. I can get freckles but not a lot and my skin looks a very light gold during summer but I tan very little and I burn easily because my skin is so fair. I think my skin looks mostly a very pale olive. My eyes don’t help because they are hazel so they look different depending on the weather. Sometimes they look more brownish and golden, in summer daylight they look mostly green, and dull weather makes them look more gray. "
People have strong feelings about florals, but I believe there is a floral to suit most everyone. From soft and romantic to bold, graphic, and edgy, florals can be a great pattern to add to your wardrobe. The colors in the prints can bring together solids in a look and add interest.
I have broken the categories of floral prints into watercolor, Asian, botanical, paisley, ditsy, traditional, and geometric. Now let's look at each one and see how they work best in a wardrobe.
April is all about learning how to work within your color palette. Your color palette is just your foundation. The next step is to learn how to identify your BEST colors within this color palette. How do you know your best neutrals? What strategies should you use to start building your wardrobe? How do you define
your signature color? What colors should I explore as my BEST colors? How do I pull all of these colors together to create a cohesive wardrobe? What colors might I want to remove or avoid?
