Learn the basics of sculpting a bust. This small class will cover armature building, finding proportions and much more! You will come away with the knowledge of how to create a portrait using flat planes and sight. Clay and armature included for you to take home. Tools are for use in the workshop but are available for purchase. A light lunch is included. Experience a day on 2 acres in Christine's private studio and home environment in Kahakuloa.
Christine has been sculpting for over 14 years. Influenced by her family of sculptors, she decided to explore realistic work. Mostly known for her portrait work, she continues to explore other avenues of sculpting as seen in her work at Art Maui. Recently she was commissioned by King Kamehameha III Elementary school to create a bust of the King to be on display at the school in Lahaina on Front Street.
