Jan has been on Maui since 1976 where he made a life changing career choice. Leaving behind his Gaphic Design career after working with 20th Century Fox and Max Factor, Jan proceeded to cultivate his talents in art. His love of color and texture seems to vibrate off of his canvas. Each painting appears to have a vitality of their own. The compositions are both abstract (in detail) and representational (in subject matter). The magic that unifies these disparate forces-the abstract and the representational- is color.

Jan's work can be seen in several private and Corporate collections and is on view at Haili'i maile General Store restaurant, Lahaina Grill and now represented by Turnbull Fine Art in Paia.
