Hello to All!
I know. It's been a long time.
I am very happy to return to this newsletter after so many quiet months. Some of you I see from time to time in person or on zoom. But many of you, I don't see at all.
I have missed this simple style of communication: sending a message, and sometimes receiving a few messages in return.
I hope you are well and gradually coming back to a freer, happier life.Â
For myself, I have been occupied with building my YouTube Channel, Singing After
40. I almost gave up in July of this year. It was so much work and growth was so slow. So I took the month of August away from the creation of videos et al. And I spent more time working with singers from a variety of countries (on Zoom) who had found me through my YouTube channel.
Â
I enjoyed teaching such a variety of people, voices and styles. Somehow they got me enthused again. And one fine day, in mid-September, I reached 1000 subscribers on YouTube. (As of today, it is 1053!)Â When you think of the channels that have millions of subscribers, my 1000 souls is a rather small community. But for me, it was enough impetus to get going again.

Â
INVITATION!
I am also writing to you today with an invitation to a special, intimate (online) Christmas concert on:
I will be joined by three other singers including Doug Balfour (who will also play piano); and vocalist, Sheila Smith with her guitarist/singer husband, Cordell Henebury.
Also my great friend and writer, Jerry Black will join us to read a true and very poignant Christmas story titled, "Christmas Angels."
Â
WHAT YOU WILL HEAR!
45 minutes of Glorious Christmas songs, a few well-known carol sing alongs and a Holiday story that will surely touch your hearts.
It's free! You can sign up
here to be sent the Zoom link when the time comes. Be sure you check the box on that page for Thursday, December 9!
I sincerely hope you will join us! I would love to see you in the "audience." And if you are shy on that day, turn the video off, sit back and enjoy some heartfelt music. It's going to be fun! I am going to wear my Elfen hat and a red fuzzy scarf. (See the fetching photo on the left!)
Â
My very best to all of you!
Barbara
P.S. Please forward this newsletter to anyone else whom you think would enjoy this concert.Â
