This accounts for 75-80% of your results...

Hi ,

Today as I am writing my newsletter I am drinking out of a mug that was gifted to me by one of my business mentors.  On the mug is a fabulous acronym IDWIT. This particular mentor used to remind me constantly that how you do anything is how you do everything!
I.D.W.I.T.

I Do Whatever It Takes

What a great motto to live by!

This is definitely the attitude that I live by when I have set myself a goal.

If you want to lose weight it can be so easy just to sit down in front of the TV and try to wish away the extra pounds.  We know that wishing doesn’t really do much for those excess inches and you need to have a plan.

Life is so much easier when you have someone to be accountable to and I am here to be that person – you only have to ask.

What you eat accounts for 75-80% of results for weight loss and exercise is really only the extra 20-25%.  This is the time of year when the weather is warming up and our attention is brought to the fact that we want to look great in our spring/summer clothes.

Here are 5 tips to get you started if you feel the need to kick-start your toning program for spring.

1. Increase your intake of water until you are drinking approximately 1 litre for every 50lbs you weigh.

2. Increase your alkalizing foods to break down the acid in your system so your fat stores can be lost much more easily.  Eating green leafy greens is the obvious however I would also recommend a drink of hot lemon first thing every morning. Just slice up a lemon, give it a gentle squeeze into your cup and pour hot water on (not boiling).

3. Cut down on wheat. Better still, lose the wheat out of your diet altogether.  Wheat is a food that causes most of us inflammation and this hampers weight loss massively.

4. Get enough sleep. When you sleep your fat burning hormones get to work as they begin to repair your system. If you go to bed too late (i.e. after 11pm) every night and end your day by watching the TV your body is in a heightened state and this will definitely impact your sleep patterns.  Your hormones work in synergy with the sun and the moon so by going to bed too late you are inhibiting the full use of your ‘repairing’ hormones.

5. Sign up for a FREE TRIAL for one of the Regan Method Boot camps.  There are now 5 to choose from in Fittleworth, Pulborough and BIllingshurst at various times of the day.

All the Term-based Pilates classes are chock-a-block full, which is fabulous (for me) and this is why I still run 2 classes where anybody can come along.  You don’t need to book into either class below and neither do you have to have any previous Pilates experience.

Mondays       Fittleworth Village Hall 6.15 - 7.15pm
Tuesdays       Sullington Village Hall 2 – 3 pm

Those of you who I see regularly never cease to impress me with the focus and accurate techniques that you bring to the classes. I just LOVE my Pilates classes and am so lucky to have such wonderful people to work with on a daily basis.

Please note that there are no classes on Bank Holiday Monday and also no classes on Monday 20th April.

I am offering a FREE TRIAL boot camp session to any of you who have not yet tried it.  You are invited to come along during April – remember that you do need to get in touch to book your slot.

Its now a well known fact that this type of exercise (short sharp bursts) known as HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) is the MOST EFFICIENT form of exercise for fat loss, quick results for toning and is also the BEST for women and men with hectic, busy lives.

Long periods of aerobic activity like running/jogging, cycling and aerobic-style classes simply increase the level of your stress hormone cortisol.  This encourages you to hold on to fat (especially around your waist) and won’t help you lose weight.

HIIT will shock your body into fat loss but won’t keep your cortisol levels raised plus it is achievable for everyone, as the intervals last no longer than 2 minutes.

You are also encouraged to follow the Clean Eating Plan to re-balance your hormones so you feel super-energetic and get rid of the lethargy and bloatedness.

If you would like to either book onto the next boot camp or take the chance to come along for a FREE TRIAL session then don’t delay in getting in touch.
