The Short Guide to The PMBOK Guide: A 25-page intro to the #1 resource you have to study for the PMP exam

The Secret Of Creating Your PMP Exam Brain Dump Sheet
The Project Management Professional Exam is a 'closed' book exam. That means the only reference material you are allowed to carry into the testing facility has to be contained in your brain. A Brain Dump is a proven and effective way to bring reference material into the testing facility and it will help you to think clearer while you're taking the PMP exam. But there's another secret to it, too...

PMP Material NOT in the PMBOK Guide
If you are studying for or plan to study for the PMP Exam you have likely heard you need to read PMBOK Guide at least three times. But, did you know that reading the PMBOK Guide is not enough to pass the PMP Exam? One popular misconception concerning the PMP Exam is that it is based solely on the PMBOK Guide. It is a great study tool but there is material on the PMP Exam that is not covered in the PMBOK Guide so you need to locate and select quality supplemental resources to cover this additional material. The PMP Exam covers a variety of questions to include those that are based on the PMBOK
Guide, situational type questions and those that cover other project management concepts not necessarily included in the PMBOK Guide. Here we will look at some additional resources you can use to help ensure you are as prepared as possible for the PMP Exam.

Student Success Story - Sarah Counnas, PMP
"My coach was tough but I honestly don’t think I would have passed without him! He quickly developed a study/testing plan that got me motivated to learn all the material (which I would have probably procrastinated on my own), urged me to sign up for the actual exam when I was ready and provided me with tons of good tips and tricks that helped me along the way. It was really helpful for me to have a plan and have someone to report scores to and talk through areas I was struggling with. He was super responsive and I felt like I really had a partner in the whole process. It was great!

My coach understood my needs. We were able to modify my PMP prep based on my current work schedule and he helped me work through some of the areas I kept getting stuck on. For example, I kept struggling with the difference between some of the inputs and he spent time explaining it and sending me supporting material to read about it which was a big help.

I would recommend coaching to others. Coaching worked really well for me and I would recommend it for anyone who is unsure about how to cross the finish line. There is a lot of material to get through so having expert guidance is invaluable (kindof like using Expert Judgement in the processes!!). It's a great way to get a tailored program that works for your schedule and learning methods so that you can succeed."

Question about Entreprise Environmental Factor updates
Mak Thomas, one of our forum members has a question. Will you be able to help him?

"I will take the PMP exam on 29 September 2016. I have taken five mock exams (78-81% constantly) and ITTO exam (80.5 %). I wish I can pass the exam.

I notice that I always select the wrong answer of the question related to EEF and OPA.

As I remember, EEF is something that the project should follow, while the OPA is something that can be used by the project team. Any typical example of EEF and OPA I can reference?

Second, I do not understand why the EEF can be updated in two processes: Develop Project Team and Manage Project Team, why?"
