PMP Sample Questions: How to Find the Correct Answer
If you are preparing for your PMP Exam then you know that one of the most important activities is to take many PMP sample exams and answer as many PMP sample questions as you can.

But as a general rule, it is not always easy to identify the correct PMP exam answers.
Those who pass the PMP exam often report back that PMP answers are ambiguous, sometimes more than one looks right and sometimes you may even have to choose the one that is least wrong. So what are you to do?

One solution is that you can work with a PMP Trainer who guides you and works with you on those pesky questions. And this is of course exactly why I have invited Dr. Julie DeSot for an interview. As a PMP coach she has helped many people successfully prepare for their PMP exam and get to the bottom of those questions.

Project and Process Tailoring for the PMP Exam
According to A Guide to the PMBOK Guide a project is “a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service or result”. Being that each project is unique it is important to also understand that an organization's project management processes will likely need to be tailored in order to ensure project success. Project tailoring takes into consideration that project management processes are not "one size fits all", meaning there will be many times when processes need to be adjusted (added, removed, or revised) in order to ensure project success.

Student Success Story - Erik M. Jacob, PMP
I heard an interview on the PM Podcast, with Dan Ryan and I signed up right away.

For me the most difficult part was just understanding the PMI’s framework. How does all this tie together? My exam coach assisted me greatly in understanding this. Helping me know what I needed to know for the exam verses reading PMBOK v5 was also a huge win for me.

My coach Dan, was exceptional. He pushed me to move fast. He showed me how to learn and understand the concepts rather than memorizing all the many moving parts. He also explained why this was important as well. I feel that for me the coaching was just that, coaching. This kept me on the right path to PMP success!
To those studying for the PMP exam I would recommend two things: 1. Have a coach to objectively evaluate your readiness to take the exam. 2. Take practice exams and then more practice exams followed by even more.

PMP Exam Lessons Learned from Edward Mungai, PMP
Lessons learned towards becoming a PMP shared to us by PM PrepCast student Edward Mungai, PMP.

Let nobody lie to you that you can just wake up one morning an d sit for the exam without preparation.

This was my second attempt, my first attempt I did not study well enough since I had been doing projects for more than 7 years I assumed it would be that easy but I was shocked to understand that it's not what you know rather What PMI expects you to Know.

For all those planning to take the exam I would advice you on the following:

  1. Go through the PMBOK book first to see what its all about.
  2. Then go through the PM PrepCast videos
  3. Now repeat the PM PrepCast video with the PMBOK hand in hand, I suggest if you have two computer screens and project the videos in one and the pdf version on another will make your work easier. At this stage please also do 30 sample question after every module/knowledge area.
