There is so much joy in having a window right next to the desk where I work. It's a true pleasure to be able to look out and see what's going on every minute of every day while I sit and joyfully toil away. Every once and awhile I am delighted by a little surprise. This past week this gorgeous little blue bird popped into my tree to say hellow. He continues to show up and make himself known. And now I've found that as I work, I look for him to see if he's out there amonst the blue jays, woodpeckers, cardinals, chickadees, and various other birds that take up residence in this big tree.

     This isn't the only sign of spring that is popping up in my yard. I have daffodills showing their leavings, snowbells up in their full glory, and even a few tulips are beginning to poke through the garden. If you haven't ventured outside, even on the colder days, a nice refreshing walk to see what is 'waking up' from a long winter is always fun. It always amazes me to see how much I forget after just a single year: where things are planted, what color the tulips are, and where the squirrels have carried my grape hyacinths off to this year (silly squirrels). 

     There's always joy to be found. You might have to look for it a little harder some days, but I promise it's there. Take a deep breath, pause, and look around your life and you will find a nugget of joy.
