Mike Rinder is former head of Scientology's Office of Special Affairs (OSA). As Scientology's international spokesman and leader of OSA, Mike was one of the chief public protectors of this cult, their controversial leader David Miscavige, and celebrity parishioners such as Tom Cruise and John Travolta. He oversaw much of Scientology's litigation, harassment and attacks on their perceived enemies called "Suppressive Persons" or SPs.

Mike eventually escaped Scientology and has now become one of its most vocal critics. He teamed up with Leah Remini on A&E for the Emmy award-winning docuseries Scientology and the Aftermath. Now, Mike has released his brand new book, A Billion Years: My Escape from a Life in the Highest Ranks of Scientology. 

Mike and I had a heart-to-heart talk about his new book including some of the never before revealed secrets of Scientology, allegations of spiritual and physical abuse and intimidation based on L. Ron Hubbard's policy of "Fair Game." Mike describes a shocking history of a church that attacks government agencies including the IRS, steals documents, infiltrates offices and even frames critics.
