Volume 7 - Issue 21

Dear ,

Fairly early this morning, my attention was caught by dew drops caught in the plantlets of a mother-of-millions plant. Given the photographs I took were not that aesthetically pleasing I went looking for other "dew-drop" photo opportunities. (Note - If you wish, you can see the plant on M-O-M Plant.)

The drops on the banana plant leaf shown below caught my eye. Looking at the photograph after I downloaded it into my computer brought, and brings, me peace. I thus decided to feature it in this issue of Picture to Ponder.

I'm wondering, "Do you get a similar feeling?"

Today's Photos -

dew drops on a banana plant leaf

Since we're featuring a banana plant leaf here, I thought I'd share another recent photo. Here we have the play of light and shadows and, incidentally, the "hugging" (wrapping) around itself of a segment of one of the leaves. I also like the dark accent contrast here.

Should you want more color, you can get a sense of the phases and the imagery of the banana plant in the one-minute video preview at BananaSkyDVD.com, as well as in some photos further down the page.

If you have been a subscriber to Picture to Ponder for a few years, you proably recall my excitement with the light and shadows, as well as the growth and phases of a banana plant, including its colorful pod. Because of how it so helped me when I was angry at the ravages of Parkinson's Disease on my husband, I ultimately produced Banana Sky DVD so caregivers and others could also experience the relaxation and healing.

Self-Reflecting Queries -
Quick and simple questions today -

When something catches your attention are you content to be with it as it is, or are you driven to look for more?

If you go searching for more, does it have to be the same, only better, or are you open to new possibilities?

What visual and/or auditory experiences give you the most peace?

As always, have fun, and please share on the blog what comes up for you.
