Volume 7 - Issue 33

Dear ,

After much back and forth on which photo, or photos, to use for today's Picture to Ponder I decided to use only one.

Today's Picture to Ponder Photo -
This simple scene scene of the fisherman at sunset in Key West, FL exudes a sense of peace for me. My intention is that it fulfills on the same for you.

The added photograph that I almost included, and chose not to, is one of my beautiful granddaughter Kaitlyn resting against a tree in Key West. The picture was shot at an angle that reinforced the rhythm and flow of the whole scene. Though is holds together well, it felt too busy to fit with the above photo.

If curious, you can see it by clicking on Angled Tree.

Self-Reflecting Queries -
Quite often I "batter" myself with many choices, much of the time dragging on making a final decision, such as here today with photo selections.

I expect this may apply to many of you. If so, I invite you to look at where in your life you might be in the "midst" of chaos, or near chaos. Is the desire to be "perfect" holding you back? What actions might you take that will ease this all for you?

Writing? A walk in Nature? Another kind of break? Taking a small action step of any kind? Or, ???

For me today, it was to "simplify." Go with one photo. Be in the peace of Nature. And, as I write, I'm reminded that the horizontal lines also reflect restfulness.

In the Angled Tree photo, although the long lines of Kaitlyn do give off a feeling of peace, the contrast in movement of the curves and angles in the rest of the picture result in a more active energy.

Lastly, in a slightly different conversation, I was a little reluctant to have Kaitlyn's photo so public and accessible on the web. Simply sharing a link, for those who wish to see it, was an effective compromise for me.

I invite you to look. Do you have established patterns of resolution when you find yourself in conflict? Withdrawal or action? If "action", what kinds of actions do you generally take?

As always, have fun, and please share on the blog what comes up for you.
