Dear ,

This issue of Treasure Your Life Now brings with it prayers (however they are said), plus love and wishes for peace for people in stress all over the world. This, of course, extends to everyone including all of you who are stress free.

Closer to home, for me, this is going out to all who are suffering in the areas of damage and devastation in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania and other coastal and New England states as a result of Hurricane Sandy. Because the areas geographically and familially are close to my roots, I'm finding particularly challenging putting together this issue of Treasure Your Life Now.

Always wanting to "help", I'm left wordless in the light of what's happened, been happening. Before the storm hit on Sunday, I was at a Saturday wedding. The ceremony was on the beach in Ocean City, NJ, just south of Atlantic City. During the whole afternoon and evening we experienced one of the most outwardly joyous and loving wedding celebrations I've been to. The next day, after family and friends had departed, came the storm.

During the next two days, being away from home, I personally experienced a lot of anxiety and fears as to what could possibly happen during a hurricane. I am forever grateful that I was most lovingly cared for and supported by my brother and sister-in-law, as well as extended family.

The rest I'll leave to what's been reported in the media. Should you be somewhere in the world where you've not seen what's been going on in the last week you can Google "Hurricane Sandy."

Blessedly, insofar as my own family and friends are concerned, aside from power outages some of which still exist and may be so for several days, everyone is fine with no damage to homes or businesses.

So, what do I say here to others whose circumstances are so different. I'm reluctant to take it upon myself to give advice or suggestions.

I'm thus choosing to emphasize love and peace. When searching my files for Today's Photos

the light and glow from this White Rose caught my attention. May it embrace you, too, with warmth and love

and the courage and strength to stand erect and tall no matter what the circumstances.

For those who like to find imagery in my photos, I smiled today when I was reminded of the following photo taken five years ago.

foam face - wave and tablecloth - surfside

I titled it "Sea Foam Face" and featured it in Picture to Ponder Volume 3 - Issue 60. Click on the link to see the description of the face I saw, plus a mouse near the lower left that one of the viewers saw.

The image itself resulted from the surf capturing a tablecloth left on the beach. You can see more photos of the tablecloth in the issue itself.

Then there is the first issue of Picture to Ponder in December 2004 which featured the photo below. We're Looking down on the cut end of a tree trunk that was knocked down during the first hurricane we experienced in Florida.

My late husband saw a Hobo in the center of the trunk. Once the photo was downloaded I saw a cat's face with whiskers (illustrated below).

Self-Reflecting Queries -
I started today's issue off, stating I was "wordless" and not in a position to give advice. As I developed this issue with photos, I started seeing, and was reminded once again, that there are always many ways of looking at the same thing.

If for some reason you are feeling powerless right now, I invite you to look within and around and see if you can put a different "spin" on something that you see, no matter what the state of demise it's in.

If you can find some humor in it, even for the moment, enjoy it.

I also invite you to ask yourself, what thoughts and self-talk give you the most strength and forward movement?

Relationship Tip -
Remember to look for, and interact with, the love, wherever you can find it, in your relationships.

As always, have fun, and please post what comes up for you in the COMMENTS section of the blog.

IMPORTANT: If today's photos inspire writing or anything else that has you share it and the photos, please be certain to credit the source, including the URL of this issue, http://www.eteletours.com/v8-issue41.html
