Dear ,

Thank you for being a part of our family of subscribers. I deeply appreciate you all. Some of you have been with Picture to Ponder/Treasure Your Life Now for almost 8 years, since the first issue, December 9, 2004.

This issue of Treasure Your Life Now is dedicated to my beloved husband Sam Finkelstein, who died 5 years ago today on this eve before Thanksgiving Day (in the U.S.) Sam, a great photographer, was the epitome of love, generosity and gentle, quiet humor.

If you'd like to experience a bit of him and bring a smile to your face, visit two fun photo stories he put together of our sons when they were toddlers. For 22 month old Joe's story, click on Romantic Joe's Story It has 11 photos with one-line captions under them. You can then click on Rob the Artist to see him at 18 months old in 6 photos with one-liners.

I am, and will be, forever grateful to Sam for our love, his gifts, the sons he seeded and blessed me/us with and their resulting families. I am grateful for the contribution he was to me, and thus indirectly to you also, throughout our 47 plus years together. He would often look over my shoulder and make suggestions and comments as I was putting together Picture to Ponder.

Whenever he and I walked in Wakodatchee Wetlands, he loved seeing and pointing out Anhingas spreading their wings. Thus this backlit bird above seems to be a fitting image to spread light to and embrace all of you with love and appreciation during this Holiday season.

In addition to my immediate family, I am profoundly grateful for my extended family, friends, clients and business associates. Deep gratitude to all the people who contribute to me and my world through whatever services they provide.

Today's Additional Photos - Queries and Relationship Tips

Anghinga ponders

Another view of a different Anhinga. As this Anhinga appears to be lovingly viewing his immediate area, I invite you to look around for whom and what you are grateful in your immediate world.

Then,

stretch yourself a bit. Who else is there that you see whose been a contribution to you?

I invite you to then acknowledge this person, or people, in some way be it in a conversation, something in writing, or even something as simple as a touch if they are amenable to that.

(An Aside Note: If you are noticing and wondering about the www.eteletours.com imprint on the photos above, this is how I "signed" my ezine photos for a few years.)

Lastly, for today, in going through previous years' Thanksgiving issues I came across this photo which wanted to be here today. Though it does not fit visually with the others, it seems important to share.

cut red cabbage expressing love

A cut half of a red cabbage with the word "Love" added with Photoshop Elements.

To me the image looks like a maze. Ultimately all routes seem to start and end from the center core, so I labeled it "Love."

In the featured cabbage issue two years ago, I continued with,

" As I studied the photo, the curved, zigzag and circuitous lines, reminded me of the many paths I've taken, and continue to travel, in my life. Looking at it from this perspective, it's reassuring to know they all land in a solid place.

I invite you to study the cut cabbage and its imagery.

Is there anything that you see that's analogous with your life? Is there any kind of positive message you get from it?"

I invite you to apply whatever you find in ways that will empower you.

For last week's relationship tip, I invited you to consider making all of your words and actions, at any time, be ones of expressions of love.

I continue that invitation for this week especially as you are looking for the things in your life for which you are grateful.

As always, have fun, and please post what comes up for you in the COMMENTS section of the blog.
