Dear ,
I'm somewhat at a loss for words today with the undercurrent of the senseless, awful tragedy in Newton, Connecticut yesterday.
(Should you live in a distant section of the world and not be aware of it - a shooter forced his way into a school, Kindergarten through 4th grade, and murdered 20 children and 6 adults.)
My subconscious thoughts, I suppose, are what has resulted in this strange mixture of photos that requested being shared here today.
Today's Photos -
The top photo is the alert, watchful head of a Great Blue Heron in Wakodahatchee Wetlands.
In the center photo, though very small, the statue of William Penn atop City Hall in Philadelphia seems to be standing guard. He is quite still and confident, despite the size of the building in the distance. A strange perspective in this photo, I don't even recall if I was aware that William Penn on the not-visible City Hall would be in it when I focused my camera a few months ago.
The West Palm Beach Dreher Park Zoo bird in the lower photo is also alert, still and watchful. The softness of this Chestnut Breasted Malkoha's feathers somewhat lessen his harshness.

I invite you to simply be with the photos and whatever may be going on in your life, including good and great things.

Another Bird -
As I look now it's interesting to me, that another "watchful" bird, the feral parrot became the image in my Gift Shop header. He first appeared in Picture to Ponder in March 2006 - Volume 2 - Issue 25.
