Dear ,

As I was considering what photograph, or photographs, to feature in this week's Treasure Your Life Now, I simply wanted to experience the feeling of peace and offer the same to you.

Today's Photos -
The lower photograph with the still water peacefully reflects the gentle, though bright, colors of the sunset-lit sky in Green Cay Wetlands.

The fireflag flower photo above the sunset, has been asking to be featured also. There is a sense of peace that emanates from the muted background and the way it's placed leads the eye right down to the sunset scene.

The Fireflag flower is the one the Purple Gallinule bird goes out to the edge of plant to eat, as discussed in last week's issue of Treasure Your Life Now.

Self-Reflecting Queries -
Interestingly, as I was reflecting on the theme of a feeling of peace, I learned that today is World Peace Day, dedicated to the "absence of war".

Personalizing the concept it occurred to me that when I am in a state of feeling peaceful, the warring thoughts within are quieted down or gone.

I then Googled "peace" and on one site found it to be described as:

  • A state of quiet or tranquility; freedom from disturbance or agitation; calm; repose.

It is the latter of which I was l thinking with today's photographs. Then on the interactive level with others, there is:

  • Exemption from, or cessation of, war with public enemies.
  • Public quiet, order, and contentment in obedience to law.
  • Exemption from, or subjection of, agitating passions; tranquillity of mind or conscience.
  • Reconciliation; agreement after variance; harmony; concord.
  • To make or become quiet; to be silent; to stop.

I invite you to inquire into what "peace" is for you. Do you choose it?

If so, what does it, or will it, take for you to create IT - PEACE?

    Relationship Tip -
When I referred to my experience with the Fireflag Flower photo, I pointed out the peacefulness of the muted background.

Conversely, one might focus on the flower and have a more activated response. In addition to appreciating the colors, I was drawn to start looking at the other imagery and making up stories about the possible face in the center of the flower.

My point here is to notice how things shift depending on where your focus is. If you are in a conflictive state with another, be sure to check the location of your focus. Consider, "What would you like to be experiencing?"

Then shift your focus to that part of the situation (picture) where you can find it.

As always, have fun and share on the blog your discoveries and practices.
