Is curiosity one of your drivers? For me curiosity, exploring, then discovering solutions to challenges are all part of the foundations of my life purpose. What is/are your foundation(s)?
Last week, at the end of the third session of The Magic of Shifting Perspective Programs, something reminded me of a curiosity journey and experience I’d had many years ago. Dried seaweed that I had brought back to New Jersey from York, Maine, and saved, happened to fall into a bucket of water. I was surprised to see
that, while in the water, it had returned to its original, moist, flexible "seaweed" state.
Several years later, as I was relating the story to a friend, I happened to notice the small almost-sculpture like object, pictured above, sitting atop a surface in my dining room. It was two intertwined seed pods from a tree. They had tightly curled up and hardened like wood, one inside the other.
I have no recollection of where in Florida I found the “sculpture”, or from what tree the components might be. It was an "eye-catcher" that I simply picked up off the ground when I saw it, presumably, because I liked the colors and textures. As I was telling my friend the seaweed story, I started exploring the wood pods sculpture. Remembering the seaweed experience, I
wondered what, if anything, would happen if I put it in water. I naturally continued onto the discovery journey.
